Let's start by taking a look at the railway.

Carnforth is easily accessible by rail, with the journey time from Lancaster being just nine minutes although the frequency of the trains varies depending on the time of day.

A neighbouring station to Carnforth is Silverdale which is typically a train journey of seven minutes and is a short walk from the RSPB Leighton Moss Nature Reserve, with visitor centre.

Or more energetically enjoy the great outdoors at Warton Crag with its views over the surrounding countryside, also a popular spot for exercising dogs. Around this limestone hill, nature abounds with wild flowers and butterflies in the warmer months.
